Our training is relevant to your specific facilities and organization and based on real-world experience, ensuring that your employees know how to do their jobs right and in full compliance with the rules and regulations that impact your operations.

  • Public Workshops

RCP holds several DOT Workshops throughout the year which provide excellent training for new and experienced pipeline professionals who need to learn the most recent changes in the regulations. Our staff is up-to-date with the ever-changing DOT rules, so you can be assured of getting quality instruction from professionals in the field.

  • Site-Specific Training
  • RCP is prepared to conduct workshops on-site for your company and tailor the content to your company's specific needs. We can provide all types of training to meet MMS, DOT, EPA and USCG regulations. On-site training is a great answer for groups, especially when compared with the cost (including travel) of everyone to attend the public workshop.

  • DOT Compliance Training at RCP's office.
  • This format is great for one-on-one question and answer sessions and can delve into any specific issues of concern.

A typical workshop agenda includes an introduction to the DOT/OPS Pipeline and Agency jurisdictions - what does DOT/OPS regulate anyway? After the introduction, the workshop builds upon this platform to provide the participants with a clear understanding of how the process works, including:

§         Important definitions and letters of clarification from the agency

§         Recent EPA/DOI memorandums of understanding

§         State and Federal program variations, roles and responsibilities

§         Design, construction, operations, maintenance, and emergency response requirements

    §         Spill response planning requirements

§         How to monitor rulemaking activity and stay current with your compliance program

    §         Recent regulatory changes

These workshops have been attended by hundreds of pipeline personnel, with excellent feedback.
